PokéSurvivor guide: stay alive in the browser game
Checked 14 October 2026. The official guide already exists. This page restates the rules I would actually use in a first session, and links back to the source instead of cloning the Pokédex.
Play onlineWhat I checked
I read /en/guide/, /en/types/, and /en/legendaries/ on 14 October 2026. The five survival tips are the author’s, not mine. The type multipliers are also the author’s, and they are not the main-series chart. I have not timed a rift clear, so I will not add a “best arena” ranking.

Five tips from the official guide
Quoted in my own words, in the order the guide gives them.
- Do not stand still.
- Swap moves using the type chart.
- Circles and lines on the ground are attacks that have not landed yet.
- Remove healers and shield enemies first.
- Spend coins on the partner you actually bring.
Type chart, not the main series
On the official types page, a super-effective hit is ×1.6, a resist is ×0.6, an immunity is ×0.3, and two types multiply with a cap of ×2.4. The modifiers apply in both directions. Weather is also on the guide: rain boosts water and cuts fire, with sun, sand, snow, and fog listed as well.
Rifts and held items
A rift leads to a legendary fight. A win gives a ×10 gacha ticket; a loss returns you to the map without that reward. There are eighteen type arenas, including Eternal Meadow, Igneous Volcano, Sea Grotto and Steel Fortress. Lava burns, ice slides and water slows movement. The 12 October news says rifts appear at least every 2.5 minutes and favor missing legendaries.
Wild shiny odds are 1/4096; gacha shiny odds are 1/100 per pull. Defeat a wild shiny to add it to your collection. These figures belong to the browser game, not Survivor Burst.
Move bonds, held items and the 30-minute encounter
The 11 October news says defeating a rift legendary grants a bond: join two moves so both fire from one slot. Further legendary wins extend the bond up to four moves, freeing slots for new attacks.
The official items page currently lists 11 held items and says you can carry one at a time. Keep it for the run or choose a replacement when another appears. Leftovers restores HP, Choice Band raises damage while blocking move switching, and Life Orb exchanges HP for damage. Do not treat this as Survivor Burst’s equipment system.
The 13 October news adds the Judgment of Arceus at minute 30. It describes an invincible pursuer and escalating legendary enemies in a separate arena. This is a survival event, not a documented way to unlock Arceus as a partner. The update also resets the all-time leaderboard.

Questions
How do I play PokéSurvivor on a phone?
Turn the phone sideways. Drag anywhere to move. Tap a move to swap. Pause is at the top right. That is the official control note.
What are the shiny odds?
The official shiny guide gives 1/4096 per wild encounter and 1/100 per gacha pull. These rates are for PokéSurvivor, not Survivor Burst.
